To be precisely accurate, it's our first half day alone. Niki called, to see if we'd quit smoking and if so, to inquire whether we had managed to avoid doing great harm to one another. Then David wanted to visit Grandpa after Pre-school so Renee, David and Thomas stopped by. But now, the kitchen's cleaned, the floors are swept, the bed's made and it's very quiet.
Probably the quiet seems more so because of the contrast to New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. I had a great time. Hope you all did too. One of the moments I'll remember is when Thomas lost Arianna and how happy he was to find out that Na Na wasn't "gone." And then again, when Savannah decided to take a bath New Year's Day.
So, I'm thinking today about a hobby we can both enjoy, as someone suggested. Gardening seems a good place to start, but not much to do right now except look thru seed catalogs.

You could always take up doing puzzles together. I can remember everyone doing those when we were kids. It would also be something that could take you mind off cigarettes.
